The Magic Ray Gun of Creation

The Magic Ray Gun of Creation

I was working with a client recently, and we were looking at how we as human beings create. Also, what just is in the world (e.g., the physical fact of a chair) and what we have created using our powers of thinking (e.g., one's feelings about said chair or meaning of said chair).

From a universal first principles viewpoint of how we create in our lives, we can divide the Universe into Form and Formless.

There is a formless energy behind life that breathes life into everything that is in form.

Everything is animated by this unseen energetic reality like the matrix underneath the matter. When we go smaller and smaller into the structure of things, we end up with more "empty" space than anything. I say "empty" because it's anything but. It's full of different physical forces. For example, our cellular structure is held together by positive and negative charges on lipid (fat) molecules that make up the walls of our cells. The molecules themselves never actually touch each other. Simply held in place by "weak" forces. If you look at the components of the lipid molecules, they never actually touch each other either. Atoms "bond" together to make molecules. The bonds are actually electrostatic charges, sharing of an electron potentiality cloud, or both. Energy.

This consistently blows my mind with the intricate complexity and elegant simplicity of design. It is truly marvelous. I also love the feeling of marvelling at something.

We are literal nexuses of focus for formless energy to become form. Our cells do it all the time without any effort or thought. We consciously do it constantly, especially in the area of thought creation. It's also effortless. Where does a thought live before you think it? It's a formless energy that we take, form, and breathe life into.

It also dissolves back into this formless energy in the instant we stop breathing life into it.

A thought, a knowing, an idea, a ponder, a musing, an inspiration, a glorious excitement, a wondering, a curiosity, a worry, a habitual defence mechanism, a craving. All comes through us out of nowhere. Literally. Nowhere. That is marvellous!

The fact that we have this capacity is stunningly incredible.

We are very good at it and never stop. Especially if you include our cellular creations in each and every second.

Some of our creations feel good and expansive.

Some of our creations feel restricted and tight.

Our bodies are responsible for creating the feeling of our thinking to let us know if we are in expansive, good feeling, relaxed body thinking or restricted, tense, tight body thinking.

As my client and I explored how we create in this way, we dropped into a better and better expansive feeling. This is what happens when we take a step back and look from a perspective of how life works without judgment or 'shoulds'.

This automatic out-of-nowhere creation started to look to me like a lens that focuses our life energy in a particular direction or a particular feeling. A river or flow of creation is always happening through us from formless energy of formed matter. If I want to create something specific, I bring my intention to it. Usually, unconsciously. For example, if I want to make dinner, I start to wonder what I want to make or what I want to eat. I might go look in the fridge. Dinner ideas start to flow out of that. Same if I want to create a business plan, a vacation itinerary, or write a book. Whatever we focus the lens of creation on is what we get.

At times, it's so strong it feels less like a lens and more like a ray gun to me. Blasting the energy of creation into form.

Zap! Zap! here's a blog post. Zap! Zap! here's a recipe for homemade pizza. Zap! Zap! here's a solution to the problem you've been wondering about.

I started to notice that my unconscious stream of habitual thought felt like a creation also. In the moments between consciously wanting to create something. As if that lens or ray gun was still on and generating a stream of random, out-of-nowhere thoughts. I also noticed that it didn't affect me unless I started to think I had to pay attention to those thoughts. If I gave them meaning or tried to stop the flow. If I ignored it, it just kind of faded into the background. Like ocean waves.

We are also constantly uncreating. When we take the lens of creation off of something, it uncreates. And is gone. Like a movie you were really into while watching and then forget as soon as your focus is elsewhere.

Today's "Experiment If You Wish" is to play around with your magic ray gun of creation. Pick something you'd like to create and focus on it lightly. Perhaps it's an email you need to write or what you might like to have for dinner. Keep your focus on the topic and allow ideas to bubble up and come. Let it flow over you. There may be initial tight, restricted habitual thoughts. Let them flow. Gently wait for something new. Don't try. You've initiated the creative flow by your desire or intention to see something about your topic. Let the system do its thing. If you want, go fold laundry or do the dishes, see what comes up and into being from the magic of your creative ability.

Above all, have fun with it.

Much Love,
Sara Joy
